New Badger Excavator for the Buckingham Branch

The replacement of rails and ties is an on-going operation for the Buckingham Branch Railroad.  It takes specialized equipment to complete this work safely and expeditiously.  The newest addition to the equipment inventory is this Badger Excavator.  This equipment is used to ditch waterways and recovery ballast along the rail bed.  The refurbishing and readying of this specialty equipment was completed entirely by the Buckingham Branch Mechanical Department represented by Ted Ingram and Jimmy Huddleston below.
